NRL Fire Protection Services understands that regular and thorough maintenance of the hood and exhaust system will help to ensure a secure environment for cooking. A system that is safely working at ultimate performance will lead to a working environment that's cooler, cleaner and more productive for the staff.

We also understand the importance of a properly maintained kitchen exhaust system and what it means to your business. We also help make sure you're always in compliance with the latest industry regulations.

Our proven methods of removing grease and flammable residues from the interior surfaces of the hood canopies, filters, duct work and exhaust fans ensure compliance with all applicable fire and health codes.

We steam/hand clean the entire hood and duct system from top to bottom including the exhaust fan to bare metal in accordance with NFPA 96 Standards for ventilation control and fire protection.

NRL Fire Protection Services exhaust system cleaning services have been designed to meet two needs; keep the system free from fire hazards and help maintain a high operational level by minimizing the stress on the components caused by grease and dirt buildup. We begin with an assessment of your system, cooking methods, and amount of use. We inspect the hood, ductwork, fans and discharge areas. From this initial assessment, we work with you to develop the best cleaning methods and a schedule for regular cleaning maintenance.

Our service includes covering and protecting all kitchen equipment in the area, complete water clean up, drying and polishing of all stainless steel surfaces which we cleaned. All work is performed in accordance with the applicable code sections of NFPA 96.

An NFPA Certificate of Performance is attached to each hood upon completion of the job.

You should insist that the company you award the work to has Completed Operations Coverage on their Insurance Policy, is a member of IKECA and is CERTIFIED to perform these services which are now required by NFPA 96.
